Privacy Policy
Last updated 28 September 2026Charmling is built so your companions stay yours. They are made and stored on your iPhone. There is no account, and no server that receives your companions or your conversations with them.
Your companions
Each companion (its look, personality, voice settings and name) is saved as a .charm file on your iPhone. The app shares these files only with its own Home Screen widget and Messages stickers on the same device. A file leaves your iPhone only when you choose to share or export it.
On-device AI
Name ideas and replies in Talk use Apple’s on-device language model on iPhones with Apple Intelligence. What you type is processed on your iPhone and is not sent to us. On other iPhones, replies are pre-written. Conversations are not saved after you close Talk.
Photos, voice and microphone
Charmling asks only for permission to add images to your photo library, for example the Muse reference image or a birth card. It cannot see the photos you already have. Spoken lines use Apple’s built-in speech on your iPhone. The app does not use the microphone or camera.
Purchases
Charmling Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details. Your Pro status is checked on your iPhone with Apple’s StoreKit.
Analytics, ads and tracking
The app has no analytics, no ads and no tracking. If your iPhone is set to share crash reports with app developers (an Apple setting you control), we may receive technical crash logs from Apple, which do not include your companions or conversations.
This website runs no analytics and is covered by the C6 Labs privacy policy.
Other apps, including Muse
When you copy text or upload an image from Charmling into another app, such as Meta’s Muse, that app’s privacy policy applies to what you give it. Charmling isn’t affiliated with Meta.
Your rights
Wherever you live, including California under the CCPA/CPRA, you can ask what personal information we hold and ask us to delete it. For Charmling the answer is: none, apart from any messages you send us. We never sell or share personal information. To make a request, use the contact form.
Children
Charmling is not directed to children under 13, and we knowingly collect no personal information from anyone.
